Kount is an advanced, AI-based fraud prevention solution for medium- and large-sized merchants, providing real-time risk analysis and fraud assessment.
- Kount’s AI collects and shares data on fraudulent activity across its entire portfolio (over 30 billion transactions reviewed annually)
- Transactions are assigned a real-time score and flagged as ‘Approved’, ‘Declined’ or ‘Needs Review’
- Add to ecommerce checkout pages using collect.js and provide a fingerprint collector for increased accuracy
- No additional work is required by the merchant or NMI partner, just turn it on
- Allows merchants to set thresholds, if desired, around certain transaction variables – helping reduce specific business-related risks
Card Testing Detection
Automated Card Testing Detection makes it faster and easier to stop losing money to fraud by sending real-time alerts via text and email directly to gateway users.
- The algorithm detects card testing, then notifies all configured users immediately and restricts the merchant’s accounts to protect against any damage
- Primary users will automatically receive an email and real-time SMS text alert when card testing is detected and transactions are suspended (after the user provides the required mobile phone number)
- Text and email messages link to a temporary landing page outside of the portal, enabling quick action on the restricted account
- Merchants review the potential fraud data and, if they deem the account safe, un-restrict the account to restart processing transactions (permissions can be granted for additional users)
- Partners will also receive email notifications and manage transactions from NMI’s Partner Portal
